- Worshiping and blowing the conch in this month brings peace and prosperity to the home, as the conch is dear to Lord Vishnu.
What not to do in the month of Margashirsha? (Don'ts)
- Avoid stale or cold food during the month of Margashirsha. Eat only sattvic and fresh food.
- One should avoid massaging the body with oil every day during this month.
- Don't be cruel to anyone or use abusive language during this holy month. Maintain pure thoughts.
- In many areas, the use of cumin is considered prohibited during this month. Coriander and fenugreek can be used instead.
- During this time, keep distance from evil things.
