It's so much so that this film has broken Avengers Endgame's six-year-old record for grosses.
Avengers: Endgame has been the highest-grossing film in China since 2019 , but now someone else has taken that record. You'll be surprised to learn that the film earned nearly ₹930 crore in just one day. This is the highest lifetime collection any film has ever achieved.
Avengers: Endgame breaks opening day record
The American sci-fi thriller Avengers: Endgame had the biggest opening in China. According to Deadline, the film was the biggest American opener in six years, grossing nearly $100 million (approximately ₹893 crore) on opening day. However, it has now lost out to a new movie.
How much did Zootopia 2 make on its first day?
The film that broke Avengers: Endgame's record is none other than Zootopia's sequel, Zootopia 2, which was released on November 28, 2025. Directed by Jared Bush, this animated buddy cop comedy earned $104 million (approximately Rs 929.32 crore) in China on its opening day.
Will Zootopia 2 make history on Sunday?
It's believed that Zootopia 2 could achieve even greater collections on Sunday. Deadline reports that the film's Sunday collection could reach $525 million (approximately Rs. 4,691.27 crores). However, Dainik Jagran doesn't support this claim.
Shraddha Kapoor also worked in the film.
Zootopia 2 has received rave reviews since its release. It has a 7.8 rating on IMDb. Interestingly, Shraddha Kapoor provided the Hindi voice-over for Judy Hopps in the film.
