While neither officially stated anything, their romance lasted for quite some time, and they garnered widespread love on the silver screen. Amitabh praised Rekha
Rekha revealed that Amitabh Bachchan once gave her a very nice compliment that she can never forget. An old interview of Rekha's is now going viral in which she said that working with Amitabh Bachchan had a visible impact on her work. The actress also recalled a very nice compliment the Don actor gave her.
"I think the one compliment he gave me, whether knowingly or unknowingly, was that he gave me the opportunity to work with a great co-actor like him. That's the biggest compliment I've ever received," he told Rediff.
People used to copy the actor's style
Rekha also revealed that she had such a huge influence on people that at one point many people were copying her hairstyle. Her style would sometimes appear in my performances.
Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan are best remembered for their performance and chemistry in Silsila. Some of their other hit films include Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Suhaag, Do Anjaane, and Ram Balram. Amitabh Bachchan married his co-star and co-star Jaya Bachchan in 1973.
