A 4-year-old girl was struck by the speeding car of MLA Gyaneshwar Katke, who was traveling from Pune to Shirur to campaign for the Shirur Municipal Council. The accident occurred on November 30th on the Pune-Ahilyanagar Highway in the Borhademla area of ​​Shirur. The girl injured in the accident is Shubhra Pandharinath Borhade (age 4), and her condition is reported to be critical.

The speed of the car was very high 

The incident occurred in the afternoon when traffic was normal on the road. Shubhra Borhade was crossing the road alone when a car suddenly appeared in the middle of the road. At the same time, MLA Gyaneshwar Katke's black Mercedes car (MH12 NX 1391) was passing by. It is reported that the car was moving at a high speed. Seeing the girl in front, the driver suddenly applied the brakes, but due to the high speed, the car was unable to stop in time and hit the girl.

Chaos after the accident 

The impact was so severe that four-year-old Shubhra was thrown a few feet onto the road. Chaos erupted at the scene. MLA Gyaneshwar Katke, his driver, and accompanying volunteers immediately got out of their car and tended to the injured girl. Without delay, they picked her up in their own car and rushed her to the nearest hospital.

Doctors have declared the girl's condition critical. After receiving first aid, she was referred to a larger hospital for better treatment. She is currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors.
