This is because from today many things like ATM transaction charges, credit card rewards, interest rate on fixed deposits and Aadhaar update fees will change. Today we are going to tell you about these changes and how they will affect you- 

Changed rules regarding credit card

According to the new rules regarding credit cards implemented from June 1, if the auto-debit payment of your credit card fails, a penalty of up to 2 percent will be imposed. For example, if you have set auto debit in your mobile and it fails, the bank will charge you up to 2 percent.

Apart from this, charges will also be levied on international transactions from June 1. Some banks have indicated to levy extra charges on payment of utility bills like electricity, water and internet through credit card. Along with this, rules regarding cashback can also be changed. Not only this, from today, extra charges will also have to be paid for purchasing fuel through credit card. 

Withdrawing money from ATM will be expensive

From June 1, withdrawing money from ATM using debit card will also become expensive. Under the new rules, if you transact more than the free limit, then your withdrawal charge may increase. This means that withdrawing cash from ATM repeatedly can now cost a lot of money. 

Interest Rate on Fixed Deposit

Banks can change their interest rates on FDs from June 1, 2025. Currently, banks generally give returns between 6.5 percent and 7.5 percent on FDs. Now, amid expectations of RBI cutting the repo rate, the interest on FDs may decrease. However, many small banks have already reduced their interest rates on fixed deposits. 

EPFO 3.0 launched today 

The launch of the new EPFO ​​3.0 system today is a big relief news for salaried employees. With this, subscribers will get bank-like facilities such as PF money can be withdrawn from ATM, KYC update, ease in claim settlement. 

Commercial cylinder prices reduced

From today, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has reduced by about 24 rupees. This will benefit those running hotels, restaurants or Dhabas. If the operational cost reduces, then the customers will also benefit. 

Last date for free Aadhaar update

Now Aadhaar can be updated for free only till June 14, 2025. After this, it will cost Rs 25 to update Aadhaar online and Rs 50 to update it by visiting the center. 

New cut-off time for mutual funds

According to market regulator SEBI, new cut-off timings have been set for redemption in overnight and liquid mutual fund schemes from June 1, 2025. That is, now different cut-off times have been fixed for both. Now offline redemption requests will have to be submitted by 3 pm, while investors making redemption in overnight schemes will be able to submit redemption requests till 7 pm.
