News Topical, Digital Desk : Karna, the son of Surya, is a major character in the Mahabharata (Mahabharat Story in Hindi), and was also one of the most skilled warriors. The Mahabharata describes Karna as born with a divine armor and earrings, which he received through the blessings of the Sun God. Because of these armor and earrings, he was invincible, meaning no one could defeat him.
Lord Indra took the form of a Brahmin.
According to the story told in the Mahabharata, before the battle, Karna was performing his morning prayers as usual and offering water to the Sun God. Just then, Lord Indra arrived disguised as a Brahmin. Seeing the Brahmin, Karna asked, “O Brahmin! I am very blessed to have your darshan. How may I serve you?”
Indra Dev expressed this wish
At this, Indra, disguised as a Brahmin, said, "I have heard many stories of your generosity. I have come to ask for your most precious armor and earrings as a donation." Karna realized that this was not a Brahmin, but Indra himself. But Karna considered giving donations his dharma, or duty.
He told Indra, the king of the gods, that his armor and earrings were attached to his body. He then took out his knife, severed the armor and earrings from his body, and donated them to Indra as a Brahmin. Indra was pleased to see Karna's unwavering resolve.
That's why Karna had to be tricked.
Arjuna was the son of Lord Indra, and he wanted to protect his son from Karna in the Mahabharata War. So, he disguised himself and tricked Karna into giving him his birth armor and earrings as a gift, so that Arjuna could have the opportunity to win the war.
