New Delhi: The country is celebrating its 78th Independence Day this year (Independence Day 2024). Every year the celebration of independence is celebrated with great pomp across the country. The day of 15 August 1947 holds great importance in the history of India, because this is the day when independent India was born. year 2014

On his first Independence Day after becoming the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Modi wore a very special kind of turban. While hoisting the tricolor on the ramparts of the Red Fort, PM Modi was seen wearing a Jodhpuri turban. This red Rajasthani turban had a green design on the edge, which made it even more beautiful.

year 2015

After this, in the year 2015, for his second Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi chose a yellow turban. This turban made of dark yellow safa had red and green lines drawn on it.

year 2016

On the occasion of Independence Day in 2016, the Prime Minister was seen wearing a turban made of pink, red and yellow safa. Along with that, he was seen in a white kurta and pyjama.

year 2017

On the occasion of 15 August 2017, the Prime Minister was seen wearing a dark red and yellow turban. There were golden lines on his turban, which further enhanced its look. He also paired his turban with golden kurta-pyjama and sadri.

year 2018

On Independence Day 2018, the PM was once again seen in a different style. He looked very handsome in a saffron and red colored turban and this turban looked very good on white kurta pyjama.

While addressing the nation for the sixth time on the occasion of Independence Day in the year 2019, PM Modi chose a multi-coloured turban. Made of colours like yellow, green, red, this turban matched perfectly with his white kurta.

year 2020

In the year 2020, i.e. during the Corona period, the Prime Minister was seen in a different style. This year, while addressing the nation, he was seen wearing a saffron and cream coloured turban. At the same time, due to Corona, he was also wearing a mask of the same colour.

On Independence Day celebrated in the year 2021, PM Modi appeared in a Kolhapuri Pheta style turban. Although, due to its length, this turban was seen hanging till the back, but this look looked very good on the PM.

After this, while celebrating Independence Day in 2022, the PM was seen wearing a cream coloured turban. The special thing was that his turban also had a tricolour print design, which was adding to his look.

Last year, in the year 2023, on the 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi wore a multi-coloured Rajasthani turban. He also completed his look with an off-white kurta, white pants and a jacket with a pocket square.

year 2024

Talking about his look this year, PM Modi chose a Rajasthani Lahariya print turban for the 78th Independence Day celebrations. Along with this, he was seen wearing a light blue closed neck jacket with a white kurta and churidar.
