FBI offered clarification
FBI spokesman Ben Williamson also confirmed the purchase of the BMW X5. He stated that the FBI is upgrading its vehicle fleet. Purchasing a BMW X5 is a cost-effective option compared to other options. However, the FBI has not provided information on the number of these vehicles. The armored BMW X5 vehicles are equipped with AK-47s, which are specially designed and mounted with steel and ballistic glass shields. However, many are criticizing Kash Patel, calling this an unnecessary expense.
Jet's demand halted
According to reports, purchasing the new armored BMW X5 vehicles would cost approximately $480,000. This is nearly twice the price of a Chevrolet. Kash Patel was also accused of pressuring the purchase of the jet. However, the cost was estimated to be between $90-115 million, which led to the shelving of the plan.
