News Topical, Digital Desk : The home of US Vice President J.D. Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance is about to be filled with joy again. The Vance couple recently announced their pregnancy in a social media post. Usha Vance is expected to give birth to their fourth child at the end of July this year.
JD Vance and Usha Vance are already parents to three children. They have two sons, Evan and Vivek, and a daughter, Mirabelle. JD Vance, 41, and Usha Vance, 40, have reported that mother and child are doing well.

Sharing the post, he wrote, "On this happy and busy occasion, we are grateful to the military doctors and the entire staff who are taking such good care of my family. They ensure that we can serve this country while living a wonderful life with our children."
J.D. Vance has long been advising Americans to have more children. Vance has repeatedly expressed concern about America's declining fertility rate. After becoming Vice President of the United States in March 2025, J.D. Vance said, “I want as many children as possible in America.”
Why is Vance's announcement historic?
This would also be the first time in US history that a high-ranking official has announced a pregnancy while in office. Previously, in 1893, during President Grover Cleveland's second term, his wife, Frances Cleveland, gave birth to their second child.
