News Topical, Digital Desk : Vishwa Hindu Parishad's national spokesperson Amitosh Pareek has reacted to the green belt statement made by Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM councilor Sahar Shaikh in Mumbai. He said that this dream of Asaduddin Owaisi and his party will remain a dream and will never be fulfilled. India is a country governed by the Constitution. There is no place for a green belt in the Constitution. Such a statement falls under the category of treason and is anti-national.
VHP spokesperson Amitosh Pareek further said, "This thinking of Asaduddin Owaisi's party is appeasement. It will lead to fanaticism and divide the country. Such statements have no meaning. The people of India have become wiser now. They understand the motive behind this very well."
AIMIM is a party with Nizam's ideology - Amitosh Pareek
He said, "Bringing Owaisi's party to power would be a disgrace to the nation. AIMIM is a party with the ideology of the Nizam. Its thinking is completely fundamentalist. This party has the blood of killing Hindus on its forehead. Owaisi's party's thinking is completely radicalized. This party only promotes fundamentalism. The people of Mumbai must be wondering what kind of councilor they have elected. Owaisi's dream of a hijab-wearing PM will never be fulfilled."
What did AIMIM councilor Sahar Sheikh say?
This statement by AIMIM councilor Sahar Shaikh came after the party's landslide victory in the Thane Municipal Corporation elections, where the party won 5-6 seats in Mumbra. Speaking at a meeting on January 18th, Sahar Shaikh had said, "We will make Mumbra green." Later, as the controversy escalated, she clarified that these words were referring to her party's flag and symbol. She had not intended to hurt anyone's sentiments or create a vitiated atmosphere. She also clarified that if her flag were orange or saffron, she would have promoted that.
