News Topical, Digital Desk : Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has urged India to designate Hamas a terrorist organisation. Speaking during a virtual interaction with global Hindu leaders on Thursday, Saar said Hamas has links with other radical groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba, and therefore, it is necessary to list it as a terrorist organisation.
Describing India-Israel relations as strong, Saar said that cooperation between the two countries is continuously increasing and Israel attaches great importance to this relationship.
He said that for the past two and a half years, Israel has been fighting against radical Islamic terrorism, whose declared aim is the destruction of Israel.
He claimed that Israel has gained ground on various fronts and weakened the Iran-led network.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the Israeli Parliament, had condemned the Hamas attack and said that terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances and India stands with Israel on this issue.
