News Topical, Digital Desk : NASA has released stunning new images of Comet 3I/ATLAS. These images, taken by more than 12 NASA spacecraft and telescopes, are the closest and clearest images ever taken. Based on the images, it is believed that the comet is older than our solar system.

These are the closest and clearest images of Mars ever taken by Hubble, Lucy, and more than 12 NASA spacecraft and telescopes, allowing scientists to study its unusual chemical properties (such as high nickel content).

No technical signals

Commenting on the images, NASA official Nicky Fox said, "It's just a comet – no technical signals." The object is being affected by the Sun's gravity even though it is 170 million miles from Earth.

NASA released images of Comet 3I/ATLAS on Wednesday, November 19th. Several NASA spacecraft had taken images of this comet near Mars. However, due to the 43-day US shutdown, these images were kept secret. They have now been released.

Senior NASA officials have now dismissed the alien rumours regarding the images and have insisted that the object behaves exactly like a comet, even though it appears to have some unusual chemical ratios.

I have not seen anything like this

NASA Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya stated that the object is simply a comet and added, "It looks and behaves very much like a comet." Meanwhile, Nicky Fox, associate administrator for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, said, “We certainly haven't seen any technical signals or anything that would lead us to believe it was anything other than a comet.”
