How did the fire break out in the refinery?

According to the information received, a fire broke out on Saturday due to a leaking pump in a repair unit of Abadan refinery. One person is also reported dead in this accident.

As per the information received so far, fire brigade personnel reached the spot immediately to control the fire and they brought the fire under control within two hours so that the operations were not affected in any way.

 

There are also reports of some people being injured

At the same time, some reports said that some people were also reported injured in this incident. Let us tell you that Abadan oil refinery, about 670 kilometers away from the capital Tehran, started its operations in 1912. It is the largest refinery in the Islamic Republic.

It is reported to be the Islamic Republic's largest refinery, producing approximately 25 percent of the country's fuel and refining more than 5,200,000 barrels of oil per day.
