News Topical, Digital Desk : Various claims are being made on social media regarding the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. Meanwhile, a member of his party has claimed that Khan is still alive and is currently in Adiala Jail. The government has also denied Imran Khan's murder.
Khurram Zeeshan alleged that Imran Khan is being harassed and forced to leave the country. Zeeshan said that the former Prime Minister is being isolated as part of a pressure strategy to force him to leave Pakistan.
Pakistan government is scared of Imran Khan's popularity
Speaking to the news agency ANI, Khurram Zeeshan, a member of Imran Khan's party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said that the government in the country is intimidated and threatened by Imran Khan's popularity, which is why they have not allowed the release of any photos or videos of him. The ruling government in Pakistan appears to be in danger, fearing that even a single photo could mobilize public support.
It's worth noting that earlier this week, several Afghan social media handles claimed that Imran Khan had been murdered inside a Rawalpindi prison. These rumors surfaced at a time when Pakistani authorities have not allowed Khan to meet with his family for the past month, despite a court order.
"This is very unfortunate. He has been kept in isolation for almost a month, and his family, his lawyers, and even the senior leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have not been allowed to meet him. This is a complete violation of human rights. It seems they are trying to force him into something," Khurram Zeeshan told ANI.
Guaranteed to be alive
Denying the rumors, Zeeshan said, "We have been given guarantees and assurances over the past few days. He is alive and currently lodged in Adiala Jail. He is doing well." Zeeshan alleged that Imran Khan is being pressured to leave the country and remain silent.
being forced to leave the country
Zeeshan said that attempts are being made to compromise Imran Khan and force him to leave the country. He is also being told that he will receive concessions if he goes abroad and remains silent in a place of his choice. But Imran Khan will never agree to this.
