Therefore, at my request, South Africa will not receive an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted next year in the great city of Miami, Florida.”
South Africa calls Trump's post regrettable
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa's office has described Donald Trump's post as regrettable. Ramaphosa said that since the US delegation was not present at last week's G20 summit, the instruments of the G20 presidency were handed over to a US Embassy official at the headquarters of South Africa's Department of International Relations and Cooperation.
