News Topical, Digital Desk : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday stressed on the importance of promoting Hindi along with local languages, saying Hindi plays a vital role in national integration.
He said that as part of efforts to strengthen Hindi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has chosen Agartala to host the Official Language Conference of the Northern, Eastern and Northeastern regions. The event will be held on Friday at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre in Hapania. The Home Minister will inaugurate the conference.
"By prioritizing Hindi, we want to unite the entire country," the Chief Minister said. Saha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their initiative to promote linguistic harmony.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always been keen on AI. In the coming days, all departments will use artificial intelligence (AI), and AI has also been included in the recent budget.
Meanwhile, Anshuli Arya, Secretary, Department of Official Languages, Ministry of Home Affairs, said that the states participating in the conference include Bengal, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand from the Eastern region, Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim from the North Eastern region and Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh from the Northern region.
