According to a report by Movies Singapore, the Revising Committee, responsible for re-evaluating the film after the primary certification stage, has not yet begun any formal process. The film's production company, KVN Productions, has not received any updates regarding the re-censoring process.

Will the film not be released even in February?

Currently, the re-censoring process hasn't begun, so it's certain the film won't be released in February. Directed by H. Vinod, the film could be released in March if it receives clearance in early March.

Vijay 's film "Jana Nayakan" was scheduled to be released in theaters on January 9, 2026, but the censor board objected to certain scenes in the film, citing political commentary that could cause controversy. The matter went to court, and the film was postponed.

Acknowledging the changes, the makers of Jana Nayakan resubmitted the film after editing it for a second review, but it has not yet been approved or reviewed. The film starred Bollywood actor Bobby Deol in the lead role alongside Vijay.
