Looking at O Romeo's worldwide collections, according to a Bollywood Hungama report, within six days of its release, the Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri starrer has grossed ₹59.24 crore (US$1.2 million) globally . It's believed that this figure could surpass ₹75 crore (US$1.2 million) by the second weekend.
However, O Romeo still needs to perform well commercially before it can achieve significant success. Furthermore, O Romeo's earnings at the domestic box office have currently reached close to 50 crore rupees.
T20 World Cup spoils O Romeo's math
O Romeo could have performed even better in terms of collections. However, the shadow of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 looms over this movie. Especially on days when India plays a match, earnings tend to decline.
On Wednesday, India and the Netherlands played a match, and O Romeo only managed to earn 3.50 crore rupees on its sixth day, compared to over 5 crore rupees on Tuesday. Earlier on Sunday, O Romeo's collections also suffered during the India-Pakistan match.
