The High Court said-

Despite spending so much money, the school infrastructure is in a dilapidated condition.

High Court showed figures

Citing a recent survey, the court said that 22 percent of the buildings in 12 states have become dilapidated. Rajasthan is also included in this list of 12 states. In Rajasthan alone, 32 percent of schools do not have electricity, 9 percent of schools lack drinking water and 9 percent of schools do not have toilets for boys.

5 Point Solution

Rajasthan High Court has given many important orders to the central and state governments.

  1. A survey of all school buildings should be conducted.
  2. Launch an online portal at city and district level where parents and children can upload photos and videos of schools
  3. Not only government but private schools will also join this campaign.
  4. A platform should be created to redress complaints made on the portal.
  5. Responsibility should be fixed for rebuilding the schools. If any such accident occurs in future, the contractor will be responsible and all the money will be recovered from him.
