Maharashtra News: A shocking and disgraceful incident has come to light from the Borivali East area of Mumbai, Maharashtra. A 65-year-old retired police officer, who lives in the same building, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl. The incident has sparked outrage throughout the area.
The accused pulled the girl from the lift
The incident occurred when the girl left the elevator to go home at around 7 p.m. The accused, seizing the opportunity, dragged her into the elevator and sexually assaulted her. CCTV cameras installed in the elevator recorded the entire incident, confirming the crime.
Immediately after the incident, the girl told her mother what had happened. The mother immediately went to the Kasturba Police Station and filed a complaint. The police took the complaint seriously and acted swiftly, arresting the accused.
Order to send the accused to police custody
Following the arrest, Kasturba Marg police produced the accused before the Borivali court. The court ordered the accused to be remanded in police custody until December 12th. Meanwhile, the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the case and are likely to investigate other misdeeds committed by the accused.
