'Saat Samandar Paar' beats stolen without permission, director upset, will TMMTMTTM makers face legal action?:

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this romantic film. However, trouble seems to be brewing for the film before its release, due to the use of the beats from the song "Saat Samandar Paar" in "Tu Mera Main Teri Main Tera Tu Meri."

Director Rajiv Rai has expressed his displeasure over the use of the beats of this cult song from the famous 90s film Vishwatma in Tu Mera Main Teri Main Tera Tu Meri without permission.

Directed by Rajiv Rai, the film Vishwatma was released in 1991. It starred actors like Sunny Deol, Chunky Pandey, Divya Bharti, and Naseeruddin Shah. The song "Saat Samandar Paar" from this movie remains popular even today, and now the beats of this song have been used in Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film "Tu Mera Main Teri Main Tera Tu Meri," to which Rajiv has objected.

In an interview with Mid-Day, the Vishwatma director said, “I don't know much about whether the beats of the song 'Saat Samandar Paar' were used in 'Tu Mera Main Teri Main Tera Tu Meri'. But if that's true, the makers should have asked my permission before using it. It's become a trend these days to recreate old songs. This is ruining those popular songs.”

"It's wrong to claim that I acquired the rights from the company without asking the makers. Saregama believes the music from my film Vishwatma belongs to them. They can use it for TV shows and performances, rather than in a film. If it's used in a film, they'll need my permission. Certain protocols must be followed, or legal action could be taken."
