Elon Musk wrote, "I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far."

How did the conflict begin?

In recent days, an open and very public spat between Elon Musk and the President of the United States has created a stir on social media, with both making serious allegations against each other.

Trump and Musk engaged in a slinging of insults last week, with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO calling the president's sweeping tax and spending bill "hateful."

Although Musk has calmed down the controversy somewhat and deleted some of his inflammatory social media posts about Donald Trump, the president still does not seem to be in a mood to reconcile and has warned Musk that he will face "very serious consequences" if he supports the Democrats in the 2026 midterm elections.
