News Topical, Digital Desk : Haryana Police has called four to five YouTubers for questioning in Jyoti Malhotra's case. The SP has confirmed this. The next hearing of the case will be on June 9. Meanwhile, new information has come to light in the espionage case against YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra. Investigative agencies have revealed that she was in direct contact with former Pakistan Police sub-inspector Nasir Dhillon, who is now under investigation for alleged intelligence operations against India.
Jyoti was seen with Dhillon in one episode
According to intelligence sources, Malhotra was in direct contact with Dhillon and even appeared with him in a podcast episode. The two reportedly met during Malhotra's visit to Pakistan.
After retiring from the police, Dhillon started a YouTube channel
Dhillon, who started his YouTube channel after retiring from the Pakistani police, initially presented himself as a promoter of peace and cultural dialogue between India and Pakistan. However, investigators now believe that behind this public image was hidden a secret mission run by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and military.
Dhillon used to work for Pakistani intelligence agency
Officials allege that Dhillon worked as a medium for the Pakistani intelligence agency and used his channel to reach out to Indian YouTubers. After establishing friendly relations with them, he allegedly introduced them to ISI operatives and gradually assigned them tasks aimed at collecting sensitive information about the Indian military and security establishments. Jyoti Malhotra, 36, is believed to be one such YouTuber who was duped through this network.
Dhillon's connection with Danish confirmed
Sources have also confirmed that Dhillon had links with Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, an employee of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, who was expelled by Indian authorities on May 13 on suspicion of espionage. Investigators have found credible evidence of links between Dhillon and Danish, indicating a wider and more organised espionage ring operating under diplomatic cover.
Jyoti Malhotra was arrested on May 16
Jyoti Malhotra was arrested on May 16 under the Official Secrets Act and relevant provisions of the Indian Justice Code. Since then, she has been questioned several times by the local police and central intelligence agencies.
He is one of the 12 persons detained so far in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh as part of a massive crackdown on an alleged espionage network that attempted to exploit Indian digital influencers to gather intelligence. As the investigation progresses, security agencies are now focusing on identifying more potential infiltrators linked to this network.
