News Topical, Digital Desk : A 10-foot-tall replica of an old birthday message addressed to Donald Trump, once gifted to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has captured everyone's attention overnight on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
It was put up by a group called "The Secret Handshake." The installation resembles a large card. One side features a message addressed to Trump, along with a sketch of a woman. It reads, "Happy Birthday and May Every Day Be Another Wonderful Secret." The other side reads, “Happy Birthday to a 'Terrific Guy!'”
Why was the replica installed?
Epstein's birthday was January 20th. According to the group, it was posted Sunday night and is valid until January 23rd. The Wall Street Journal reported on the message last July. Trump denied signing it and said he had no close relationship with Epstein. He also sued the newspaper, saying someone else might have written his name.
How are Trump and Epstein connected?
Trump faces no legal charges related to Epstein. Epstein died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The message was part of a "birthday book" created by Epstein's girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell.
