News Topical, Digital Desk : On Friday, November 21st, at around 7:15 pm, a physiotherapy doctor jumped from the Chai Partner Cafe on the 9th floor of a shopping complex in Sarthana, Surat. Local police have launched an investigation into the doctor's suicide.

The female doctor was also engaged to be married in two months. She often visited the Chai Partner Cafe with her fiancé, who ran a clinic. According to information available, 28-year-old Radhika Jamnabhai Kotadiya was a resident of Moti Bhegadi village in Kalavad taluka of Jamnagar district. She was currently living with her family at Vishwa Residency near the Shyamdham Temple in Sarthana, Surat.

Her family consists of her parents and a brother. The deceased's father worked as a gem artist in a diamond factory. Radhika ran her own Shriji Physio Clinic on the first floor of Vikas Shoppers in Jakat Naka, Sarthana.

The engagement took place six months ago 

Radhika had been engaged six months earlier and was scheduled to marry on February 19, 2026. On November 21, Radhika went to the clinic as part of her daily routine. She returned in the afternoon and left in the evening, telling the office staff she was going to Yogi Chowk.

In the evening, Radhika went to the Chai Partner Cafe on the 9th floor of the Sarthana Business Hub near Sarthana Jakat Naka. During the incident, Radhika suddenly got up from her chair, climbed onto the railing, and jumped down. Hearing the loud sound of something hitting the ground, people nearby rushed to the scene.

Radhika died on the spot. The family is mourning the loss of their daughter. Family members also arrived at the scene. After informing the police about the incident, PI Chavda and his staff arrived at the scene. Later, the police took Radhika into custody and sent her body to SMIMER Hospital for a postmortem. The police have launched an investigation.

Initial police investigations have revealed that the deceased, Radhika, took this extreme step after a disagreement with her fiancé. Sarthana police have seized Radhika's phone and have launched an investigation based on statements from her family.
