There is less flesh and more bones on his body. A hand is visible in the picture, which belongs to a Hamas fighter. Just by looking at the hand, one can guess how healthy his body would be.

The Israeli ministry posted the photo and wrote, 'Look at the hands of Evyatar David... an Israeli hostage who is on the verge of dying from hunger. Now look at the hands of the Hamas rebel who captured him - strong, well-fed, holding a box only for show. So who is really hungry in Gaza?'
The ministry has posted several photos and videos of Evyatar David. In another photo, Evyatar David can be seen writing something on the wall and Hamas fighters can be seen enjoying food. In another video, Evyatar David is seen digging a pit, in which he says that this pit is for his grave. Let us tell you that in 2007, Hamas established its complete influence over Gaza. Since then, its conflict with Israel continues.
In October 2023, Gaza attacked a part of Israel, killing more than 1200 people and taking more than 250 people hostage. In response, Israel completely stopped any kind of aid reaching Gaza and a situation of famine arose in Gaza. Many international and human rights organizations condemned Israel for this, but the situation remained the same.
