Fake cosmetic factory busted in Delhi, fake creams of famous brands recovered:

News Topical, Digital Desk : The Delhi Police Crime Branch has uncovered a factory operating in the Bijwasan area of the capital that was dangerously harming people's health and skin in the name of popular cosmetic brands. The raid uncovered a gang manufacturing counterfeit creams that were identical to major brands like "Fair & Lovely" and "Veet." Police arrested the main accused and seized a large quantity of raw materials and machinery.

The foundation of this entire operation was laid on December 12th, when, during an initial investigation, police arrested two individuals, Shri Ram and Gaurav Bhagat, with a large quantity of counterfeit cosmetics. Their rigorous interrogation revealed the name of Pramod Kumar Gupta, a resident of Gurugram, as the mastermind of this entire racket.

When the police tracked Pramod's mobile location, they discovered that he was returning to Delhi from Surat by train. Inspector Manjeet Kumar's team, demonstrating their alertness, traveled on the train in plain clothes and apprehended him in a filmy style near Mathura.

The view there was astonishing.

When the police raided a deserted farmhouse in Bijwasan, following the accused's information, the scene was shocking. An entire industrial unit for illegally manufacturing, filling, and packaging creams was operating there. Fearing arrest, the accused tried to destroy the evidence by burning approximately 27,000 counterfeit tubes before the police arrived.

More than 12 modern machines have been seized

Police seized 600 kg of stearic acid, 105 large drums, thousands of empty tubes, wrappers, and more than 12 sophisticated machines from the scene. According to health experts, the dangerous chemicals in these counterfeit creams can cause serious skin damage, leading to the risk of skin cancer and permanent infection. Police are currently investigating the gang's entire supply chain to determine which markets this toxic substance has reached.
