Speaking exclusively to ABP News in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the Kannauj MP described Shankaracharya as a "PDA."

Referring to a statement by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Akhilesh also criticized the state government. Akhilesh asked how Shankaracharya was being insulted. He is the most prominent Shankaracharya in our religion. When he was insulted, the Deputy Chief Minister said it would be a grave sin.
