News Topical, Digital Desk : Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has attempted to integrate Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati into his political fold amid the allegations against him. Speaking exclusively to ABP News in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the Kannauj MP described Shankaracharya as a "PDA."
Referring to a statement by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Akhilesh also criticized the state government. Akhilesh asked how Shankaracharya was being insulted. He is the most prominent Shankaracharya in our religion. When he was insulted, the Deputy Chief Minister said it would be a grave sin. And those who witnessed Shankaracharya being insulted, wouldn't they be committing a grave sin?
Akhilesh Yadav said, "If he is sad, and he was, then I can only offer one suggestion: it will take a long time to return from Japan. Resign. 100 MLAs offer to appoint a new Chief Minister on behalf of the Socialists. Work in a new way." On the question of playing the Brahmin card in an election year, the SP chief said, "Look at the PDA card. Shankaracharya is suffering, sad, and insulted. Now tell me whether we stand with him or not."
According to experts, Akhilesh Yadav has attempted to send a significant political message in the state through this statement. Questions often arise about the absence of Brahmins and Hindus in the SP's PDA. With this statement, Akhilesh Yadav is attempting to undermine the BJP's Hindutva politics and attract voters to his side.
A BJP leader who contested elections against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi is upset with his own government! He said, "I can leave politics, but..."
'BJP has once again proved that...'
Earlier, the SP chief had said in a post on the social media site X regarding the Shankaracharya issue, "By insulting true saints, the BJP has once again proven that, except for its own greed for money and selfishness, it is no one's ally. This is the BJP's old 'misdeed': anyone who raises their voice against the BJP's oppression, excesses, and crimes is threatened, suppressed, and eliminated with false accusations."
Akhilesh wrote that the "unsound trio" of corrupt BJP members, their informant allies, and the ruling party are a criminal trio of negativity whose goal is to gain power in order to amass wealth. They are all gathered together for their own selfish ends, though they cannot stand each other. The subterranean sounds of their mutual conflict are often heard outside.
