Advice to avoid Iranian airspace
Given the current situation and the potential for US military action, Iranian air defense forces have deployed high levels of security, which could lead to problems if aircraft are misidentified.
This advisory from the European Union implies that any aircraft traveling through Iranian airspace could be shot down if security agencies err. Therefore, the advisory has been issued to avoid entering Iranian airspace as much as possible.
At least 3,428 protesters have been killed and more than 10,000 arrested in the demonstrations in Iran, a report released by Norway-based non-governmental organization Iran Human Rights said.
