Zardari said in a public rally that I stand with this Indus river and give a message to India that Indus river is ours, either our water will flow in this river or your blood will flow.
Bilawal Bhutto also spoke about PM Modi
The Pakistan Peoples Party chairman said that India has blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam tragedy. To hide its weaknesses and fool its people, (Indian Prime Minister) Modi has made false allegations and unilaterally suspended the Indus Water Treaty, under which India has accepted that the Indus belongs to Pakistan. I want to stand here near the Indus in Sukkur and tell India that the Indus is ours and will remain ours, whether water or their blood flows in this Indus.
His statement comes after India suspended the water treaty expressing its anger over the Pakistan-backed terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir that claimed 26 lives and injured many.
"Not a single drop of water will go to Pakistan": India
Meanwhile, India on Friday hardened its stance, saying the Centre has prepared a detailed roadmap to stop water from Indian rivers from flowing to Pakistan after a crucial meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil stressed that immediate steps, including desilting of rivers, are being given priority.

Speaking to the media, Patil said that a roadmap was prepared in a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Three options were discussed in the meeting. The government is working on short-term, medium-term and long-term measures so that not a single drop of water goes to Pakistan. Soon the work of removing silt from the rivers will be done so that the water can be stopped and its direction can be changed.
Pakistan cancels controversial canal project on Indus river
The Pakistan government has decided to halt the controversial canal project after India's decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the ambitious Cholistan project to irrigate the desert region of Punjab province in February.
However, the project created a ruckus in Sindh province. Various political parties, including the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), started protesting against the project. The PPP is part of the ruling coalition with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) at the Centre.
Tensions between the two sides are at their peak
At the peak of tensions between the two sides, India announced the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty. Following this, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and agreed to halt the canal project.
Controversial canal project shelved
They also agreed that the controversial canal project would be put on hold until a consensus was reached on the issue in the Council of Common Interest (CCI), a high-level body to resolve disputes between provinces.
Addressing a press conference along with Bilawal, Shehbaz Sharif said the two sides discussed in detail India's announcements related to the country's situation and rivers, Dawn reported.
