News Topical, Digital Desk : A ceasefire has been reached between Israel and Iran. For the time being, attacks on each other by both countries have now completely stopped. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump once again said that Washington has destroyed Iranian nuclear sites during its attacks on June 22. Trump has cited the assessment done by the Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) behind his claim. Trump referred to the assessment done by the IAEC at the Fordo nuclear site in Iran, which said that the US attack destroyed the critical infrastructure of the site and disabled the enrichment facility.

What did Donald Trump say?

Donald Trump said, "Israel has said the nuclear sites have been destroyed! Thanks to our great B-2 pilots and everyone else involved!" Trump quoted the Israeli Prime Minister's Office as saying that the IAEC also assessed that the US attacks, along with the Israeli strikes, had dealt a major blow to Tehran's nuclear weapons development program for several years.

What did IAEC say?

The Israel Atomic Energy Commission has said in its assessment that US attacks on nuclear facilities have pushed back Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons by several years. If Iran does not gain access to nuclear materials, this achievement could continue indefinitely.

Centrifuges are working, uranium reserves have been removed

CNN had reported that the findings, based on a battle damage assessment by the US Central Command, contradict public claims by President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who claimed that the US had "completely destroyed" Iran's nuclear capabilities. Citing intelligence sources, CNN had reported that centrifuges at Iran's nuclear facilities were working and uranium stockpiles had been moved before the attacks.
