New Delhi:  The temperature in the capital was one degree Celsius higher than normal on Monday. Due to this, there was humid heat during the day. At the same time, very light rain also occurred in some areas in the evening. According to the Meteorological Department, humid heat will continue for two-three days.

The sky will remain cloudy on Tuesday. There are chances of light rain in some areas. The maximum temperature is likely to be 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 27 degrees Celsius. The weather will remain the same on Tuesday as well. Light or moderate rain may occur on Wednesday and Thursday.

Light rain occurred at some places

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of Delhi was 35.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree Celsius above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree Celsius above normal. In the evening, 1.5 mm rainfall occurred in Pitampura. Apart from this, light rain occurred at some places in East Delhi as well.

The air remains in the satisfactory category for the 23rd consecutive day

The air quality in Delhi remained in the satisfactory category for the 23rd consecutive day. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air index may increase on Tuesday. Due to this, the air index may reach more than 100. Due to this, the air quality may remain in the moderate category for three days.

According to CPCB, Delhi's air index was 83, Faridabad's was 62, Ghaziabad's was 93 and Noida's air index was 90. Due to this, the air quality in these cities remained in the satisfactory category. Greater Noida's air index was 102 and Gurugram's air index was 141.
