News Topical, Digital Desk : Special Cell has arrested Rakesh Kadian alias Pampu, who was involved in the case of brutally killing a gangster named Deepak alias Bhanja by firing bullets at Veer Dhaba in Murthal, Sonipat in a gang war. He was absconding since the incident in February.

He was trying to restart the activities of his gang by staying in Delhi but he was nabbed before that. There was a reward of Rs 20,000 on him from Haryana Police. A semi-automatic pistol, four cartridges and a Brezza car have been seized from his possession

According to DCP Amit Kaushik, Rakesh Kadian is a resident of Siwah, Panipat, Haryana. He has a long criminal history. He has more than 16 cases registered against him in Delhi and Haryana for attempt to murder, murder, extortion and assault etc. ACP Rahul Kumar Singh and Inspector Mandeep and Jaibeer's team received information that Rakesh Kadian, a wanted criminal in a murder case in Sonipat, often visits Delhi. He is planning to revive his gang again in Delhi.

Developing the information, the cell arrested Rakesh on Sunday with illegal weapons by stopping his Brezza car in Rohini. Rakesh had completed his graduation in Information Management from SD College, Panipat. He chose the path of crime after his uncle was murdered by a person named Shravan from his village in 2010. He is an eyewitness in the said case. To take revenge, Rakesh along with his associates attacked Shravan and fired several bullets at him but he escaped the attack.

In 2014, Rakesh's brother-in-law Vinod was murdered by Deepak and his associates. To avenge his brother-in-law's murder, Rakesh decided to eliminate Deepak and his supporters. In this effort, he killed many people who were considered to be Deepak's supporters. In retaliation, Rakesh was also attacked in Panipat court in 2017 in which he was shot four times in the head, spine and both hands, but he survived.

He then tried to re-establish his gang's presence in Delhi, however his plan failed when he was arrested by the Special Cell in 2023. He was released on parole in 2024 and in February, he avenged his brother-in-law's murder by killing Deepak in Murthal. He was absconding since then.
