News Topical, Digital Desk : The admission process for the new academic session 2026-27 has started in 175 courses under 13 schools operating in the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University (CSJMU) campus.
The university administration has set different standards for admission to different courses, so that students can get a wider choice. The registration process will start through the Samarth portal in the next few days. The testing process is going on on the admission portal. For admission, students will first have to register themselves on the Samarth portal.
Dean Academic Prof. Brishti Mitra said that admission will be done through entrance examination in a total of 18 courses. Admission in five engineering courses will be done through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), while admission in four pharmacy courses will be done through GPAT.
Admission to B.Ed. and Integrated Teachers Education Program (ITEP) will be conducted through the NTA. Admission to courses such as Master of Hospital Administration, MA (B.Sc. Clinical Psychology), M.Ed., LLM, and BPharma will also be conducted through university-level examinations.
Meanwhile, direct admissions based on merit have been established for 157 courses. These include BAJMC, MAJMC, BSc Biotechnology, BSc Honors (Physics, Chemistry, Maths), MA Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Bachelor of Hotel Management, Music, Kathak, Astrology, Fine Arts, Physical Education, and many other major courses.
Some courses will also require personal interviews and group discussions. University media in-charge Dr. Diwakar Awasthi stated that online registration for admissions will begin soon through the Samarth portal.
