
News Topical, Digital Desk : A dialogue meeting was held with the public representatives of Lucknow division under the chairmanship of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence on Wednesday. In the meeting, 42 MLAs and 5 Legislative Council members representing various assembly constituencies of the division's districts - Lucknow, Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Sitapur and Lakhimpur Kheri apprised the Chief Minister about the major newly proposed projects, infrastructural needs and public expectations related to their respective areas.
The Chief Minister said that the regional experience of the public representatives and their deep understanding of the local situation provide the government with a new vision in the formulation of schemes and their effective implementation. This dialogue system is a live link of trust between the government and the society.
CM directed the officials
He directed the officials to take seriously the suggestions of public representatives on the 3,397 development proposals received, whose estimated cost is ₹ 42,891 crore, and these projects should be completed in a phased manner on priority basis.
Mentioning the historical, cultural and social peculiarities of all the districts and assembly constituencies of the division, the Chief Minister said that each district has its own distinct identity, which needs to be strengthened and development plans should be adjusted.
Speaking on the review of projects, CM Yogi
said that the unique identity of these districts makes them important. In view of this, emphasizing the need for regular review of projects going on in each district and assembly constituencies of the division, he said that a clear action plan, timeliness and continuous dialogue and regular feedback are the basis for completing the projects on time and with quality.
He assured the public representatives that the state government is sensitive to every issue related to public interest. He said that every public representative is the carrier of the aspirations of the public. The state government will implement these suggestions and demands on priority basis.
CM Yogi gave instructions to the Public Works Department.
The Chief Minister directed the Public Works Department to ensure prompt action on the proposals related to the construction of roads, long bridges, short bridges, ROB/RUB, charitable roads, flyovers presented by the public representatives, on the basis of the priority given by the public representatives.
Also, ensure 100% completion of the work of connecting the district headquarters with four lanes and block headquarters with two lanes, construction of sugar mill roads, single connectivity roads and black spot improvement. Apart from this, give priority to the construction of roads in the villages of public representatives and martyrs. He said that there should be continuity of development works related to public interest in every assembly constituency, so that the possibility of pick and choose will be minimal.
