News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday performed puja and rituals at the Ganga River in Prayagraj during his visit to the Magh Mela 2026. CM Yogi arrived in Prayagraj on Saturday to review preparations for the upcoming 'Snan Parv' at the Magh Mela. During his visit, he participated in the Ganga Pujan and will also attend other religious events being organised at Sattu Baba's pandal in the Magh Mela area.

CM Adityanath will also hold a review meeting with officials to review arrangements for major bathing festivals, including Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, and Basant Panchami. These bathing rituals are expected to draw large numbers of devotees from across the country.

He will also participate in the 726th birth anniversary programme of Ramanandacharya.

After taking a holy dip in the Ganges and performing puja, CM Yogi will participate in the Prakatotsav celebrations of Shri Jagadguru Ramanandacharya at Sattu Baba's camp. He is expected to arrive shortly at the pandal, where saints and sages have already begun gathering. According to an official statement, CM Yogi will also meet with saints and religious leaders. He will also attend an event commemorating Ramanandacharya's 726th birth anniversary.

During his visit to Prayagraj, Chief Minister Yogi will also visit the Rajendra Prasad National Law University. The 44-day Magh Mela began on January 3 with the auspicious bath of Paush Purnima at the Sangam in Prayagraj.

Important bathing dates

There will be six main bathing ceremonies during the Magh Mela, culminating with the holy bath of Mahashivratri on February 15. This year's important bathing dates include Makar Sankranti on January 14, Mauni Amavasya on January 18, Basant Panchami on January 23, Maghi Purnima on February 1, and Mahashivratri on February 15.

The grand opening of Magh Mela-2026 has once again reaffirmed Prayagraj's status as an eternal centre of faith and culture.
