'Whatever compensation we have to pay, we will pay'

On the question of the damage here, he said, "There is damage, right? You people have seen the damage yourself. First of all, thank God that there has been no loss of life. There has definitely been financial loss. There has been damage to houses, shops and one of our madrasas. The damage will be assessed today or tomorrow. After this, whatever compensation we have to pay, we will pay that."

What did he say about the construction of bunkers?

The CM further said, “Along with this, the issue of bunkers came up. Community bunkers were built but they have not been needed for a long time. New bunkers have not been built for many years. Wherever I went here, one thing was definitely said by the local people that we should build individual bunkers. For this, whatever we have to do through a policy, especially for the people who live near the border and LoC, we will establish a scheme and then talk to the central government as well.”

What did you say about the losses to shops?

On the damage to shops, the CM said, "At present, shops do not get compensation under SDRF. For that, we will have to prepare a package. We will do that. There are many areas like Karna, Uri, Rajouri and Poonch where we will have to provide compensation to the people. We will do that." When the CM was questioned about Donald Trump's claims of mediation, he said that you should ask this from Trump only. He did not give any reaction on Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's address to the nation.
