Giving information, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "Char Dham Yatra has been temporarily stopped in view of the weather. In future, we will proceed with the journey according to the weather. When the journey is safe, it will be continued. Our priority during the journey is the safety of all the pilgrims. All our district officers, disaster management teams, NDRF and SDRF are fully prepared."

Passengers stranded in Sonprayag were rescued

Let us tell you that due to continuous rains, landslides have been seen in Sonprayag. Due to this, more than 40 devotees returning from Kedarnath got trapped. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has successfully rescued 40 devotees stranded near the Sonprayag landslide area. An official said that due to heavy rains, a landslide occurred at 10 pm on Monday night, due to which the road was blocked and many devotees got trapped there due to sudden debris fall. Let us tell you that after this incident, SDRF teams were immediately sent to the spot and a rescue operation was carried out at night to rescue the pilgrims.

Heavy rain wreaks havoc in Uttarakhand

Let us tell you that heavy rains have wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand. Due to this, people are facing a lot of problems. Chamoli Police shared a post and said, 'A landslide has been seen near Badrish Hotel on Badrinath National Highway. Traffic on Yamunotri National Highway has been badly affected. Some parts of the highway between Silai Band and Ojri have been washed away due to continuous rain.' At the same time, Uttarkashi Police said, 'Yamunotri National Highway is closed at two places. It may take time to restore the route. SDRF, NDRF, Police and Forest Department officials are present on the spot to handle the situation, who are helping the devotees and locals to pass through temporary routes.'
