There is a possibility of change in the monsoon of the state from Tuesday (August 09, 2025). According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of some rain in all the districts of the state today, but there is a strong possibility of more active rain in North Bihar.
Humid heat is also forecast to continue
There is a possibility of heavy rain in North Bihar for the next 4 days, while there will be rain in South Bihar as well, but there is a forecast of less rain and sunshine and humid heat to remain. According to the Meteorological Center Patna, there is an alert of moderate to light rain at some places in the capital Patna, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Gopalganj, Siwan, Vaishali, Saharsa, Kishanganj, Katihar, Samastipur and West Champaran districts between 3:11 am and 7:02 am today.
Rainfall has been recorded in these districts since morning. Along with this, a warning of thunder and lightning along with lightning has been issued in these districts. According to the weather forecast, heavy rainfall has been warned in two districts of the state, Kishanganj and Araria, while there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in all other districts of North Bihar.
These include Purnia, Katihar, Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Saran, Gopalganj, Siwan districts. In these districts, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning along with strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour at some places. So in South Bihar, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Munger, Begusarai, Patna, Nalanda and Jehanabad districts.
Last Monday also, rain was recorded in most of the districts including Patna, but even after the rain ended, the heat remained. Vaishali recorded the highest rainfall of 66.4 mm. While Araria 55.4, Muzaffarpur 52.6, Nawada 46.2, Samastipur 45, Gopalganj 42.5, Madhubani 37, East Champaran 32.2, Darbhanga 32.2, Kishanganj 28.4, Rohtas 24.6, Supaul 20.4 and Gaya received moderate rainfall of 14.2 mm.
Apart from this, after 12 noon, rain was recorded at some places in Patna, Saran, Aurangabad, Arwal, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Siwan, Jehanabad and Nalanda districts. Along with rain in the state, some change in temperature can also be seen today. There is a possibility of a slight decrease in temperature in North Bihar today, but there is no possibility of any significant change in South Bihar.
Rajgir recorded the highest temperature at 36.02 degrees
There is a forecast of a slight drop in the temperature of the state from Wednesday. Apart from Patna, humid heat is likely to persist in most of the districts of South Bihar on Tuesday. On Monday, the temperature in the capital Patna was recorded at 34.7 degrees with a drop of 0.9 degrees. The highest temperature was recorded at 36.02 degrees Celsius in Rajgir of Nalanda. The average temperature of the state was recorded around 34 degrees.
