His private guard and cousin, who came to his rescue, were also hit by two rounds. They managed to escape. The incident occurred near Neva Lal Chowk in the Maranga police station area.

The deceased has been identified as Suraj Bihari, son of Jawahar Yadav, a resident of Khushkibag Chauhan Tola in the city's Sadar police station area. Suraj owned the city's largest corn warehouse. Two brothers, Brajesh Singh and Nandu Singh, residents of Neva Lal Chowk, have been accused of the murder. They have been absconding since the incident.

Private guard Prem Kumar said that on the day of Saraswati Puja, Brajesh and Nandu Singh had an altercation with businessman Suraj Bihari's brother Uday Yadav and his friends over making an Instagram reel. The dispute was resolved that day. This morning (Tuesday), Brajesh and Nandu again surrounded Suraj's younger brother Uday's blogger friend and began assaulting him. The blogger friend then called Uday. As soon as Uday arrived, the two men took him hostage and began assaulting him.

Uday called his elder brother, Suraj Bihari, and told him everything. Suraj also hurriedly left for Neva Lal Chowk Park with his private guard, Prem Kumar. It is alleged that as soon as Suraj got out of the black Scorpio, Nandu and Brijesh Singh, standing with 20 to 25 henchmen, opened fire indiscriminately. Three bullets struck Suraj Bihari. The first hit his back, the second above his waist, and the third in his arm. He died on the spot.

Two shots were fired at the guard and cousin who came to his rescue, but they somehow managed to escape. Upon receiving the information, Maranga police station in-charge Kaushal Kumar and Sadar police station in-charge Ajay Kumar, along with a heavy police force, first reached Neva Lal Chowk and then the hospital.
