Yes! We are talking about the aromatic coriander, which is full of medicinal properties. Ayurvedacharya says that whether it is coriander leaves or seeds, its consumption provides innumerable benefits. Coriander plays an important role in enhancing the taste of dahi vada, chutney or any other dish.

Coriander is beneficial for health 

Ayurvedacharya and Dr. Pramod Anand Tiwari of Punjab-based 'Baba's Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital' said that coriander has medicinal properties, which benefit health in many ways. Its consumption also provides relief in problems like migraine, headache, excessive thirst, thyroid, diabetes, cholesterol, fatty liver, indigestion as well as hormonal imbalance. Ayurvedacharya said, "Coriander cleanses the internal organs of the body, that is, it works as a detox. Consumption of coriander relieves many diseases. Its consumption also eliminates Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas and the patient gets relief."

Countless benefits of coriander 

He said, "Consumption of coriander provides relief in diabetes and digestive problems. You can also make coriander tea and drink it. Adding fennel and roasted cumin seeds and cooking it and consuming it gives relief. Consumption of coriander is also beneficial in thyroid. For this, soak the ground coriander in a glass of water overnight and boil it in the morning till it reduces to half. After this, filter it and drink it."

Ayurvedacharya also told that coriander is beneficial for the digestive system and keeps it healthy. To get relief from problems like indigestion, acidity, heartburn and constipation, grind coriander and mix it in water and keep it overnight. Next morning, filter it, add some sugar candy and consume it on an empty stomach.
