News Topical, Digital Desk : Major news emerged on Wednesday (October 29) regarding former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan. Khan appeared in court in the Rampur Public School case, where he is accused of obtaining recognition by submitting a fake fire certificate. Charges were framed in the presence of Azam Khan and Tajin Fatima.

In fact, SP leader Azam Khan is accused of using another school's fire certificate to obtain recognition for Rampur Public School. The case is currently being heard in the Member of Parliament (MP-MLA) Court. The second case relates to the Yatim Khana settlement, where Azam Khan is accused of vandalism and looting at his behest.

What did Azam Khan's lawyer say?

Azam Khan's lawyer, Zubair Ahmed, said, "The prosecution has stated that this incident occurred on October 15, 2016, whereas the district administration had removed the illegal encroachment from the Yatim Khana on October 14, 2016. This is because the Yatim Khana land belongs to the Sunni Central Waqf Board, and in the police investigation, the chairman has also stated that he had given orders to remove the encroachment."

The next hearing of the case is on November 7.

Lawyer Zubair Ahmed said, "When the district administration removed the illegal encroachment on October 14th, the allegations of looting and vandalism at Azam Khan's behest on October 15th are not possible. Our defense is ongoing. The next date in this case has been set for November 7th."

Meanwhile, SP leader and former Sisamau MLA Irfan Solanki, along with his MLA wife Naseem Solanki, met Azam Khan at his Rampur residence on Wednesday. Irfan Solanki described it as a family meeting.
