Quarterly profit increased by approximately 4% compared to the previous year. Revenue increased by more than 15% year-over-year. EBITDA increased by more than 11% compared to the previous year. However, margins declined slightly. The stock closed higher at 4320 on Friday.
The company's net profit increased
by 3.9 percent compared to last year to ₹685 crore, compared to ₹659 crore in the same period last year. Revenue also increased by 15.5 percent in the quarter, rising from ₹14,444.5 crore to ₹16,676.3 crore. EBITDA increased by 11 percent from ₹1,093.8 crore to ₹1,213.8 crore. However, the company's margin declined slightly during this period, from 7.57 percent to 7.28 percent. According to the company, revenue growth in the first half was 15.8 percent, while profit growth was 3.5 percent. Along with the results, the company stated that it would further expand its presence in major metro cities.
Business performance: According to the company, the share of the foods segment in revenue in the first half increased from 56.4 percent to 57.01 percent compared to last year. Meanwhile, the share of the non-food FMCG segment declined from 20.15% to 19.65%. The share of the general merchandise and apparel segment remained stable.
