News Topical, Digital Desk : The preliminary examination of the 71st BPSC is to be held on Saturday (September 13, 2025). The exam is to be held in one shift only, the timing of which is from 12 noon to 2 pm. The number of candidates in Patna district is 50,244. For this, 70 centers have been set up across the district. Candidates should read the guidelines carefully before taking the exam. On Thursday (September 11, 2025), Patna District Magistrate Dr. Tyagarajan SM held a meeting with other officials in the auditorium located at the Collectorate.

It was told that only the admit card downloaded from the commission's website is valid for the candidates to appear in the exam. The District Magistrate said that the candidates will enter the exam centre from 9.30 am. The last entry will be before 11 am. After this, entry will not be allowed under any circumstances. The duration of the exam is from 12 noon to 2 pm, during this time no candidate or invigilator will leave the room. 

All these items were banned

It was informed that candidates are prohibited from bringing electronic items like mobile, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi gadget, electronic pen, pager, wrist watch (normal/smart) etc. in the examination hall. Whitener, blade, eraser etc. should also not be taken. If all these are found then action will be taken and the candidate may be barred from participating in this examination as well as upcoming examinations of the Commission.

Candidates were told not to pay attention to any kind of misleading or sensational rumours. The District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police said that entry of any person other than the staff involved in the examination work will be prohibited at the examination centres during the examination period. The main responsibility of the invigilators will be to ensure that the examination in their examination hall is conducted in a clean, fair and peaceful manner without any malpractice.

The DM said that the deputed magistrate and deputed senior officer involved in the examination will ensure that no invigilator/worker, except the centre superintendent of the examination centres, has a mobile during the examination period. The centre superintendent will be allowed to bring only one mobile with keypad (without a smart phone).
