News Topical, Digital Desk : The selection committee of DAFC India has appointed Alok Sharma as the captain of the Indian Para Cricket team. On the invitation of the Physical Cricket Association of Sri Lanka, a T-20 cricket match between specially abled (para) players will be played between India and Sri Lanka at the Sky Sports Club ground in Colombo from April 3 to 5.
Alok Sharma previously represented the Indian Para Cricket Team in Sri Lanka in November 2025. The selection letter issued by India's Organizing Secretary Mahendra Singh stated that Sharma has been selected as captain based on his outstanding performance and leadership abilities.
The selection process also evaluated the performances of players from various states and DAFC officials. Alok Sharma is a resident of Jawahar Vihar Colony, Rae Bareli and works as a Deputy Manager at NTPC.
