The body of the absconding father of the two children whose bodies were found injured along with their mother inside the house in Delhi's Pandav Nagar has also been recovered from the railway track. Police suspect that a man running a tea shop in Mayur Vihar strangled his children to death and attacked his wife and ran away. Later he himself committed suicide on the railway track.  

According to the police, at around 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, information was received from a person that his elder brother Shyamji Chaurasia (42), resident of Shashi Garden, Pandav Nagar, was missing, while the house was closed since Friday. 

According to news agency PTI, after this information, a police team immediately reached the house and found that it was locked from outside, while a foul smell was coming from inside. After which when the lock was broken, brother and sister Karthik (15) and Aastha (9) were found dead, while their mother Shanno (40) was lying unconscious in a room. He said that the woman had many injuries and was undergoing treatment.  

What do the police suspect?

A police officer said, we suspect that Shyamji, who runs a tea shop in Mayur Vihar, strangled his children to death and attacked his wife, and then ran away from there. When the police were investigating this case, they got information that Shyamji's body was found on the railway track near his house. 

The house has been closed since Friday 

Shyamji's younger brother told the police that he had gone home on Friday evening, but found it locked from outside. On Saturday morning, he went home again and found that the house was still locked and his brother's phone was not reachable. Officials said that when a foul smell started coming from the house in the afternoon, they informed the police. Police suspect that Shyamji committed suicide on the railway track after attacking his wife and children. A police officer said that further investigation into the case is underway.
