New Delhi. 4th Phase Lok Sabha Election 2024: Voting for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections has started at 7 am on Monday, May 13. Voting is being held today for 96 Lok Sabha seats in 10 states and union territories.

Meanwhile, most parts of the country are experiencing severe heat these days. However, the temperature in the areas where voting is taking place today will be normal or below normal. Let us tell you that this year, voting has declined in the last three phases of the Lok Sabha elections. Heat wave conditions and rising temperatures are considered to be a major reason for this.

The weather will remain cool in these 10 states

The 10 states where voting is being held on Monday include Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir. The Meteorological Department has released the latest update for these states. According to this, the weather will remain cold in these states and there are chances of light rain. People will cast their votes in 96 constituencies today, due to which there is no possibility of heat stroke. 

The weather was favorable for the fourth phase of voting

Citing the IMD forecast for Monday, the Election Commission of India on Sunday said that there is no major cause for concern regarding the weather during the fourth phase of voting. The weather will remain pleasant. According to the weather forecast, the temperature in the parliamentary constituencies where voting is taking place is likely to remain below normal and there will be no heat wave like conditions in these areas on the day of voting.

Where and on how many seats is voting taking place today?

In view of the rising temperatures in the last few days, the Election Commission decided to extend the voting time in some seats of Telangana. In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, voting is being held on Monday in all 17 seats in Telangana, all 25 in Andhra Pradesh, 13 in Uttar Pradesh, 5 in Bihar, 4 in Jharkhand, 8 in Madhya Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 4 in Odisha, 8 in West Bengal and 1 seat in Jammu and Kashmir.
