PM Modi said that this occasion reminds the country of the unparalleled courage and valour of its soldiers who laid down their lives to protect the country's pride. He said that their spirit of sacrificing themselves for the motherland will inspire every generation.
What did Rajnath Singh say?
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to the martyred heroes. He wrote in his post, "On Kargil Vijay Diwas, I pay my heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who displayed extraordinary courage, fortitude and determination in defending the honour of our nation even under the most difficult circumstances." The Defence Minister further said that their supreme sacrifice during the Kargil war is an eternal reminder of the unwavering resolve of our armed forces.
President Murmu also paid tribute
President Murmu wrote on Twitter, "On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, I pay tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for our motherland. This day symbolizes the extraordinary valor, courage and unwavering determination of our soldiers." She stressed that their dedication and supreme sacrifice for the nation will continue to inspire every citizen. The President in her Twitter post said, "Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!"
