Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is celebrating her 48th birthday today (16 January). Heads of state of many countries are congratulating her on her birthday. 

Meanwhile, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has congratulated her on her birthday in a unique way. Edi Rama wished her on her birthday by kneeling down. Not only this, he also sang Tanti Auguri (Happy Birthday) for Meloni. After this, he gifted her a scarf.  

Scarf prepared by Italian designer

He put the scarf on Meloni with his own hands. Seeing this scene, everyone present there clapped. He further told Meloni that this scarf was designed by an Italian designer.

Both leaders have different ideologies

Let us tell you that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni have a good working relationship despite their opposing political ideologies. Meloni holds a right-wing ideology. On the other hand, Rama leads the Socialist Party of Albania.

The two countries reached an agreement last year under which some migrants intercepted at sea by Italy would be sent to detention centres in Albania.  

Let us tell you that at the summit on Wednesday, Italy, Albania and the United Arab Emirates signed an agreement worth at least $ 1 billion to build an undersea interconnection for renewable energy in the Adriatic Sea.
