A major theft took place in Sriramnagar area of ​​Lingaraj police station area in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Thursday night. The thieves uprooted the ATM machine and looted the cash kept in it and later threw the machine in Gangua drain. The incident took place late at night. After throwing the machine in the drain, the thieves easily escaped with the cash. The ATM machine has been recovered from Gangua drain.  

The police have also seized an auto-rickshaw. The police suspect that this auto was used in the theft of the ATM machine. The investigation of the case has been intensified and efforts are on to nab the accused.

Police is investigating CCTV footage

CCTV footage is being scanned so that the thieves can be identified. The police is questioning local residents and shopkeepers to get important information related to the incident. In the video of the ATM theft that has surfaced, four criminals are seen. All of them have covered their entire face with cloth masks. Along with this, all the thieves are wearing jackets with caps, which have covered their entire head. Due to this, the thieves have not been identified yet.

93 lakhs were looted in Bidar, Karnataka

A week ago, two bike-borne thieves looted an ATM van in Bidar, Karnataka. The accused shot dead the guard deployed in the van. The driver was also injured in the firing. After looting Rs 93 lakh, these thieves fled on a bike and reached Hyderabad. Here they caught a bus for Raipur in Chhattisgarh, but when the bus company manager suspected them, the accused opened fire and fled from the spot.
